What is a DSP, and what does it actually do?
A Digital Signal Processor is the control center of your motorcycle audio system. Its job goes far beyond adjusting bass and treble. First, it prepares the signal coming from the factory head unit. Indian motorcycles equipped with Ride Command produce a factory audio signal that can be too weak to drive an aftermarket amplifier properly. Instead of relying on the limited controls built into Ride Command, we leave the factory EQ flat and make our adjustments inside the DSP.
