How Each Stage Builds on the Last

The Powerplus platform covers the Challenger and Pursuit from year model 2020-2026 with the second generation of Ride Command. Thunderstroke models include the 2017-2026 Chieftain and Roadmaster, but in 2025 Indian began introducing these models to the Powerplus lineup as well. Based on your specific year model under the Thunderstroke platform, your bike could have either the first or second generation Ride Command.
What Factory Speakers and Powerband Can’t Do
Many Indian touring bikes include the Indian Powerband Audio system integrated with Ride Command. These systems offer convenience and basic sound control. For casual riding, they work well enough. However, factory speakers are designed to meet general expectations. They are not built for sustained highway performance. Wind noise increases quickly at higher speeds.
